Bauchi Postpones North East Governors’ Forum Meeting

Bauchi State government has postponed the 10th North East Governors’ Forum Meeting (NEGF), earlier scheduled for May 4 to 6, 2024.

It also announced the postponement of the 15th North East Joint Domestic Trade Fair, and the official commissioning of the New Government House, all scheduled to hold next week.

This was contained in a press statement signed by Mukhtar Gidado, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Bala Mohammed, made available to journalists Monday evening.

 “The Bauchi State government regrets to inform the general public that the 10th North East Governors’ Forum Meeting (NEGF), the 15th North East Joint Domestic Trade Fair, and the official commissioning of the New Government House, Bauchi earlier scheduled for the 4th- 6th May, 2024 have been postponed,” the statement announced.

Also postponed are the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Novel Bauchi flyover and Launching of the Accelerated Senior Secondary School Education Programme originally scheduled for the same period, it added

“This development is as a result of a number of unavoidable circumstances beyond control,” It explained.

“It has therefore become necessary to reschedule these important events to ensure the smooth and successful execution of each of the event.

 “The State government understands the inconvenience this may cause, and sincerely apologizes for any disruptions to plans.

“The organizers are working diligently to finalize new dates for these events, which will be communicated to the public in due course.

“Government craves the indulgence of the public for understanding and continued support as it will strive to uphold the highest standards of organization and effectiveness in service delivery”.
