FUGA Christian Community Mourns as Professor Alao Loses Mother-in-law

The Chapel of Mercy of the Federal University Gashua, Yobe State, has expressed its condolence to its Council Chairman, Reverend Professor Johnson Sunday Alao, over the death of his mother-in-law, ‘Mama Mabel Adebori Bola Okeji’

The condolence message was contained in a letter signed by the Vice Chairman, Dr Ishaku James Dantata.

Dantata said the Council and the entire university Christian community are behind their Chairman at this difficult moment that his family is grieving.

“While commiserating with the entire families over the demise of Mama, the Council of Chapel of Mercy as well as the greater Chapel of Mercy and FUGA Christian Community wish to join the Council Chair in this very difficult moment of their grief by sending a representative to the funeral activities,” Dantata said in the letter of condolence to the bereaved family.

The Council Vice Chairman described Reverend Professor Alao, a former Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the University, as a distinguished Elder Statesman of the University’s Christian Community.

Reverend Professor Johnson Sunday Alao’s mother-in-law ‘Mama Mabel Adebori Bola Okeji’ passed away on December 4, 2023.

Memorial service and burial are slated for January 26 and 27, 2024 in Ogori, Kogi State.

According to the burial arrangement, there will be a wake for the deceased January 26 at No 11 Ileteju Street, Ogori, Kogi State by 4:00pm which would be followed by the funeral and thanksgiving on January 27 by 9:00 am at St Paul’s Aglican Church, Ileteju Street, Ogori.
