Supreme Court: Mammoth Rally Welcomes  Governor Mohammed to Bauchi

A mammoth crowd of supporters on Saturday received Governor.Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State to the State capital following the judgement at the Supreme Court which affirmed his victory.

Governor Mohammed  plane landed the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport  at about 12:20 pm to a lively  reception by a huge crowd of supporters

There were heavy jubilations  as residents of the state came out in droves lining up on the Streets to receive Governor Mohammed who was in company with his wife, Aisha, and top officials.of the party and the government.

Mohammed,in company with his Deputy, Auwal Jatau and their wives,was warmly received by People’ Democratic Party stakeholders, government officials in the state led by the Deputy Governor, Auwal Jatau Mohamed as well as other well-wishers of the state.

Elated residents came out in their thousands on the streets of the bauchi state, chanting solidarity songs and dancing, raising placards to express their joy over Governor Mohammed victory at the Apex court, a development that further testified of his strong popularity and wide acceptance by the  people of state.

The arrival of the governor to the state was greeted with a rally held in his honour that lasted for almost two hours.The rally took-off with a convoy of that commenced from the Awala Roundabout, moving through the streets of the City,  

 The governor, his wife, the Deputy Governor and other senior government officials mounted an open van where they waved to hundreds of cheering  supporters as the convoy moved through Ran road, up to the Emir palace down to Nasarawa state and terminated at the government house Bauchi.
