Breaking: Gunmen kidnapped former deputy governor of Nassarawa State

Former deputy governor of Nasarawa State, Prof Onje Gye-wado has been kidnapped by daredevil gunmen.
It was gathered that Onje Gye-wado, a one-time deputy Governor of the State who served during Abdullahi Adamu administration, was abducted in the early hours of Friday when the assailants invaded Gwagi village in Wamba Local Government Area of the state.
The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel confirmed the development .
Nansel said the Commissioner of Police in the state CP Maiyaki Baba has mobilised and deployed “reinforcement comprising Police tactical teams, military, vigilante, and local hunters” to rescue the victim alive.
According to the PPRO, the armed men invaded the residence of the victim at about 12:30 am and shot sporadically before whisking him to an unknown destination.
