Nigeria National League NNL football club Mailantarki FC pick first NNL point*The Nigeria National League debutant Mailantarki Care FC has picked their first-ever point in the country’s 2nd tier football division on matchday 2 against cross-city rivals Hypebuzz FC at the Area 10 Stadium Abuja on Monday. Mailantarki boys bounced back from an opening matchday 1-nil defeat in Soun Stadium Ogbomoso the adopted home of ABS FC of Ilorin. The mouthwatering encounter saw visitors MCFC recorded the first real attempt on goal when Ibrahim Muhammed set Miko Dalha on a run deep inside HB box before firing straight at the goalie just before the break. Just like the first half, actions were limited in the offensive areas with many actions ensured in the middle of the park with only HB’s playmaker Tijjani Yusuf proving stubborn against the lights boys by firing 3 times in quick succession, none of the lad attempts hit the back of the net however as the dou of Joshua Gaku and Tijjani Abdulbasit stood firm in the defensive wall. MCFC’s Sulaiman Hussani produced a master-class save after diving to his left to stop a powerful header from close range by Chukwuma Anthony a few minutes from time as the entertaining encounter rounded off goalless.Mailantarki boys will be aiming for the maximum points when they host another Abuja rivals EFCC FC in one of the match day 3 fixtures on Sunday 2nd April.
