Guber Poll: Group Urges Gombe Electorate To Reject Gratification

Ahead of the upcoming governorship election in Gombe State, a civil society organization known as ‘Transition Monitoring Group’ (TMG) has advised the electorates in the state to reject any forms of gratification on the election day and vote credible candidate.

Gombe state coordinator of the group Idris Maigari Lawanti gave the charge on Tuesday in an interview with journalists during a sensitization rally held by the organization in parts of Gombe State capital on the forthcoming election.

He explained that the objective of the rally was to sensitize and draw the attention of Gombe citizens to come out en mase to vote for their candidates of choice and to reject any forms of gratification from politicians on the election day.

“The TMG calls the attention of citizens to disregard all forms of gratification from any candidate before voting for him. The rally also encouraged people that their votes count therefore they should not joke or compromise their right or future of their children for anything no matter the material gain.

“We also charge all those in attendance at the rally to take the messages back to their respective communities and let the populace know about the issues”. He said.
