Breaking: Atiku beats Tinubu, Kwankwaso, Obi by wide margin to win Bauchi State

The Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has defeated his main challenger in Saturday’s election, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC by a wife margin to win Bauchi State.
Results collated from.20 local government areas of the state, indicated that Atiku polled a total of 426,607 votes to beat his closest rival Tinubu who scored 316,694 votes.
Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) came a distant third with a total votes of 72,103, while Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) scored 27,373 votes.
The Collation Officer, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, the Vice Chancellor of Federal University, FUD, Dutse, Jigawa State thanked all stakeholders for the efforts they put to make the exercise in the state a success.
According to the Collation Officer, the total of votes casts was 853,516 while the total number of rejected votes was 29030.
He said that the total number of accredited voters was 882,546 out of a total registered voters population of 2,749,268
