Gombe: Support Group Mobilises 5, 000 Youths, Women To Join APC

BY NAJIB SANI, GOMBE
A support group for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu known as ‘Arewa For Asiwaju 2023’ has mobilized 5, 000 youth and women from other parties to defect to the ruling party in Gombe State.
State coordinator of the group Ibrahim Muhammad stated this yesterday while receiving the defectors at Custodian Hotel, Gombe, Gombe State.
According to him, the defectors came from the 11 local government areas of the state adding that the development followed the intensive mobilization and sensitization of the people by the group on the APC presidential candidate’s manifestos.
“The decampees were members of the PDP before and in view of our sensitization, they have now dumped the opposition party for APC.
“Arewa for Asiwaju 2023 in Gombe State has been going to rural areas to canvass support for Tinubu and other APC candidates in the upcoming elections. We told them Tinubu’s manifestos and his contribution to democracy in Nigeria.
“We urge the decampees to mobilize others to join Tinubu’s camp too because the former Lagos governor has the capacity and ability to lead the country to greater heights using Lagos experience”. He said.
Ibrahim also alleged that the opposition now capitalize on redesigning of the naira notes to get cheap popularity saying the policy is not about the APC but a government policy meant for the good of the people and the country’s economy.
