Campaign Council Meets Gombe Youths, Students To Canvass Votes For Atiku

BY NAJIB SANI, GOMBE
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Presidential Campaign Council on Saturday met with youths and students groups in Gombe State to canvass support for the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar ahead of the February 25 election.
PDP national youth leader and deputy director of the youth campaign council Muhammad Kadade Suleiman led the council to the state for town hall meeting with the youths and students held at Maidugu hotel, Gombe.
He said the meeting was organized by the council in consideration of the important role youths and students will play in the upcoming election via voting and mobilization of their peers.
Kadade who claimed that Atiku is more qualified to rule the country amongst all the contestants of the exalted seat alleged that the ruling party’s candidate Bola Tinubu and the Labour Party (LP) flag bearer Peter Obi are banking on sentiment to woo voters.
“Tinubu once said he doesn’t believe in one Nigeria. And Peter Obi is banking on sentiment to woo voters. Atiku is the only detribalized candidate who will unite the country if elected. So, we are appealing to you to vote the right person in this elections”. He said.
Other students leaders who spoke at the event lamented on the hike in tuition fees in tertiary institutions in the country under the APC administration and asked Atiku to review the situation if he emerges victorious.
