2023: What Nigeria needs is a deliverer, not a leader -Oyedepo

The founder of Living Faith Church worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, says Nigeria needs a deliverer in the forthcoming general election, not a leader.

Oyedepo gave the verdict  at Canaanlnd,, Ota, on Thursday, during the Wonder Night Service of the annual Shiloh event, saying the country was at a cross road and only divine intervention can rescue it.

The Shiloh 2022 service in Cannandland Ota, was attended by thousands of faithful, including the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi,  whose introduction by Bishop David Abioye generated deafening applause.

It was also attended by the founder of Salvation Ministries Port Harcout, Bishop David Ibiyome, and Pastor Paul Eneche of Dunamis church, Abuja among several distinguished clerics from across the world.

Also present at the Shiloh Wonder Night, which was transmitted live to both national and international audiences across the world via satellite,were traditional rulers and contingents from over 50 nations of the world.

“What Nigeria needs now is not a leader but a deliverer,” Oyedepo said.

“What event will bring 50 nations together? The only thing of value to the county today is the church.

“The country is battered. Security is zero”

He charged the congregation to pray to God to send Nigeria a deliverer as the  2023 general election approaches.

“I am not a beneficiary of government. I have been called to service long before many of them  started their politics,” he said.

He warned that the destiny of the country was at stake as those he called distributors were  busy distributing. 

“Christians all over the world if you love Nigeria pray,” he charged.

“I couldn’t watch a human being being set on fire. I warned you 2015. We are long overdue for rest.  God send a deliverer.

“This man must have rest. We must travel on our roads and have rest. I have been quiet. We have the Holy Ghost Congress where multitudes are gathered about now.  it is the church that is giving a face of honor to Nigeria today”

Oyedepo declared that there shall be no more war or bloodshed in Nigeria again adding that the country shall proper again. 

“The shame of the nation will be rolled away,” he said.

“The perpetrators will pay for it. You can’t kill other people’s children and yours will be alive. God will work his wonders in Nigeria. Every nation of Africa will have rest again.

“Every sponsors of unrest in Nigeria it shall not be well with you”

The Bishop then charged the congregation to pray to God to send a deliverer in the forthcoming general election so that the country will enjoy rest again.
