ASUU Strike: Federal Govt will not rescind its decision on ‘No Work, No Pay’ policy – Adamu, Minister of Education

As the current Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike enters its seventh month, Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has disclosed that the federal government w not rescind its decision of No Work No pay policy applied to striking university lecturers.
Adamu who was speaking during an interview with Channels Television on Tuesday night, explained that the striking lecturers should take the policy as one of the sacrifices they have to make.
He said he was pained by the prolonged strike saying the federal government has done everything within its power to address the needs of ASUU members and hopes that the striking lecturers would consider the plight of students and call off the six months old strike
