Gombe Gov’t To Foster Self-Reliance Among Youths Through Innovations

Gombe State Government has reiterated its commitment to enhancing the innovation and technology sector, with the aim of fostering self-reliance among the youth in the state.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya, stated this during a workshop for various stakeholders on innovation and entrepreneurial empowerment, organised by the Nigerian Digital Innovation, a subsidiary of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
Represented by the Speaker, Gombe State House of Assembly, Abubakar Luggerewo, the governor expressed the government’s resolve to work in partnership with key stakeholders to create a supportive atmosphere for technological innovation and entrepreneurship.
According to him, empowerment of the youth to harness their innovations potentials would transform them to be self-reliant and productive citizens.
Also speaking, facilitator of the training, Amina Bello Katagum, explained that the purpose of the programme was to empower the youth towards achieving self-reliance through innovation and entrepreneurship.
