Hon. Ali Garu Illuminates SAZU Female Hostel with Solar Streetlights

From Paul Orude Bauchi
Students at Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), Bauchi, now enjoy safer and more secure evenings on campus, thanks to a donation of solar-powered streetlights by Honorable Aliyu Aminu Garu, member representing Bauchi Federal Constituency in the National House of Representatives.
The newly installed lights at the female hostel on Yuli Campus, a facility recently constructed by TETFund, aim to enhance security, visibility, and the overall learning environment for students.
Vice Chancellor Professor Fatimah Tahir described the donation as a “tremendous achievement,” noting that the solar-powered lights will complement the university’s 500KVA generator and provide an alternative energy source for the campus.
Represented by the Director of Entrepreneurship Development, Dr. Salisu Ibrahim Waziri, the Vice Chancellor lauded Hon. Garu as an “icon of development” whose investment in education contributes to broader community development.
Professor Tahir urged other well-to-do individuals and politicians to emulate Garu’s philanthropic gesture, while also expressing gratitude to the Visitor to the University, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for his continued investment in the university’s infrastructure.
