I Didn’t Steal Luxury Wristwatch, Ubi Franklin Breaks Silence on Davido’s Miami Wedding Theft Allegations

Our Editor
Music executive Ubi Franklin has dismissed claims linking him to the alleged theft of a wristwatch during Davido’s Miami wedding.
In a statement, Franklin explained that a jeweller, Benny, initially offered him a watch, but he declined after confirming its previous ownership. Later, during the wedding service, Benny’s brother delivered another watch, which Franklin said he purchased and paid for in full.
He clarified that he wore the newly purchased watch during the event while still holding onto the first one, which he intended to return, stressing:
> “I am not a thief. I have never stolen from anyone in my life.”
Franklin said the misunderstanding stemmed from misinformation and noted that Benny himself had already debunked the allegations. He expressed gratitude for the support he received during what he described as a difficult time, as he prepares for his sister’s funeral this weekend.
