During the inauguration ceremony held at the Ministry of Natural Resources Development, Commissioner Muhammad Maiwada Bello, emphasised the government’s determination to harness the state’s mineral resources and promote economic growth.

He stated that the inauguration of the committee marks a significant step towards safeguarding the environment, communities, and investors.

“I charge you to carefully work in line with the ethics governing the establishment of MIREMCO. Your primary function is to protect the interest of our communities by making sure that mining is operated within the legal framework, and I urge you to ensure transparency and accountability in performing your duties,” Commissioner Bello said.

Inuwa Bello Galoji, the newly appointed chairman of MIREMCO, expressed gratitude to the state governor, Bala Mohammed, and the commissioner for the opportunity to serve.

He pledged to work tirelessly to promote the development of mineral resources in the state while ensuring transparency and accountability.
