Why Mohbad’s body has not been reburied – Father

Joseph Aloba, the father of the late music sensation, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has shed light on the delay in his son’s reburial which has persisted for two months since his body was exhumed for post-mortem examination.
In a recent interview monitored by Per Second News, Aloba explained that the release of the pending DNA and autopsy results is the primary factor impeding the singer’s final rites.
Mohbad passed away under questionable circumstances in September 2023, prompting the Lagos Stat Police to make arrests, including his former boss, Naira Marley, and associate Sam Larry.
Despite the subsequent release on bail of the duo, the investigation into Mohbad’s death is still ongoing, raising concerns about the delay in obtaining the conclusive results.
The father emphasized that the pending DNA results for Mohbad’s son, Lian, are crucial due to the uncertainty surrounding the person who collected the placenta during the child’s birth.
He expressed a personal need to ascertain this information, stating, “the reason I am insisting on the DNA of the boy is very personal to me because I want to know who collected the placenta from Mohbad.”
The circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise have fueled speculations and intensified public interest, prompting questions about the police’s extended timeline for releasing investigation outcomes.
The uncertainty surrounding the case continues to keep Mohbad’s family in a state of limbo, awaiting closure through the disclosure of vital information from the DNA and autopsy reports.
As the investigation unfolds, the father said he remained steadfast in seeking clarity on the events leading to his son’s passing, and the results of the pending tests are anticipated to shed light on the unanswered questions.
