SPORTAFCON 2023: DSTV makes u-turn, SuperSport to televise matches
From Our Editor
SuperSport channels on DSTV and GOtv will now air all 52 matches of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
This was confirmed in a tweet on Wednesday night.
It simply read: “No gree for anybody! Watch all 52 matches of the #afcon2023 on
@supersports.”
Last week, Multichoice had said DSTV would not be able to broadcast the AFCON.
In a statement, they confirmed the company did not secure the rights.
However, SuperSport along with NTA, will beam the tournament live from Cote d’Ivoire.
AFCON 2023 kicks off on Saturday, 13 January 2024.
