Ex-Speaker Na’Abba dies at 65

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Na’Abba, is dead.
Na’Abba died in the early hours of Wednesday. He was aged 65.
He died at the National Hospital Abuja at about 3a.m. on Wednesday.
The former Speaker has been ill for some time.
Na’Abba was elected into the House of Representatives in 1999 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He became the Speaker from 1999 to 2003 after the certificate scandal consumed the then Speaker, Salisu Buhari.
He lost his re-election in 2003 after falling out of favour with the Presidency.
