Nigerian Army University, Biu Matriculates 870 New Students

The Nigerian Army University Biu, Borno State has matriculated 870 newly registered students of the school with a call on them to be studious and disciplined.
Speaking during the matriculation ceremony, the vice chancellor of the university Professor Kyari Mohammed explained that this was the 5th matriculation ceremony conducted in the university adding that they would hold their first convocation in October this year.
He said 977 students were given admissions into the institution while 870 were successfully registered for various courses offered by the university.
“The year 2023 is historic in the life of this young, flourishing and promising fountain of learning because not only is the university celebrating her 5th matriculation ceremony, the maiden convocation ceremony will also be held later in October.
“The newly admitted students are lucky to have been admitted into the Nigerian Army University Biu, which is one of the Nigeria’s youngest and best universities. All programmes of the university have been accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) with a score of 98% accreditation.
“This shows that the university is a very stable and competitive public university. I therefore call on the matriculated students to justify the confidence reposed in them”. The vice chancellor said.
He noted that in the previous year, a total of 333 students were registered adding that the 870 registered this year was in response to the high demand for the university’s admissions.
This, he pointed out was in view of the fact that there have been no compromise on the quality and capacity of the university in academic excellence.
