Bauchi governor promises to construct Boi – Lere road if re-elected
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has promised to construct the road from Boi in Bogoro Local Government Area to Lere District in Dass Local Government Area of the state if re-elected,
The Governor made the commitment at the palace of the Emir of Dass, Othman Bilyaminu Othman while granting audience to traditional tittle rulers in Dass on the need to support his second term candidacy.
The Governor said the road would be constricted in view of the economic potential and the teaming population of the area.
Mohammed said his administration was planning to provide alternative roads that would link Dass Local Government Area to communities in Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro Local Government Areas.
He revealed that plans were under way to resolve the lingering issues surrounding the appointment of District Heads in Dass Emirate.
Dass remains the only Emirate Council in the state that has no District Head despite attempts made by previous administrations
Governor Mohammed noted that contractors mobilised for continuation of the road construction project from Bununu to Dass saying the administration was working towards completion of the work in good time.
He lamented that Dass local government area is left behind in provision of developmental projects hence the move to execute such projects to enable them benefit from his administration.
