2023: Leadership crisis rocks Labour Party in Bauchi ahead of Obi’s rally

Editor
Ahead of a planned rally of Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi to Bauchi, a leadership crisis is brewing at State Chapter of the Party. The problem started with the alleged removal of the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Benjamin Edeh, by the State Chairman, Barrister Husseini Saraki.
Addressing journalists in a press conference in Bauchi on Wednesday, Edeh, who is also the Head of Media for the ObiDatti Movement in Bauchi State, lamented that he has been demoted to Zonal Secretary in charge of some local governments in the state
Edeh warned that Saraki’s action might jeopardize the fortunes of the party in the state 2023.
He said none of the Obidatti or Labour party leadership came through congress election but appointed, based on commitment and loyalty to the cause of the Obi Movement.
I don’t really know is going on and I want the Chairman to come and tell the whole world and the Obidatti Movement what is his hidden agenda and why he removed me
He claimed that every avenue to resolve the issue has failed as Saraki has stopped picking his calls
There is something fishy on ground. We toiled and brought the party to where it is today. There was no labour party in Bauchi until I came on board and together we successfully organized the One Million Man match. Nobody gave me a dime. Now Saraki wants to tactically remove me from the system because as the mouth of the Obi Movement in Bauchi, if Saraki succeeds in removing me that position then nobody will be bold enough to speak out
He called on the Presidential Candidate, National Leadership of the LP and the party’s Campaign Orgainsation to intervene before the rally berths in Bauchi
In his response, the Chairman of the party revealed that Edeh was never the State Publicity Secretary of LP in the state.
He claims to be working in Nollywood and came with gadgets and I saw that he had capacity hence I decided to link him with the party’s Zonal Chairman Pastor Joshua Sunday.
He was not given a letter of appointment but was engaged on a provisional basis as Zonal Publicity Secretary. There were lots of complaints against his appointment but I ignored them and insisted that we needed people with capacity.
Saraki claimed that problems started when Edeh started disrespecting the Zonal Vice Chairman of the Labout Party in the state and refused to take directives from him
He said the problem worsen when recent pictures of Obi and Atiku surfaced in Bauchi and they needed to disclaim
The LP Chairman said failed to execute the task when Edeh the Zonal Vice Chairman called gave him the directive from the leadership as usual to resounded to the issue of Obi and Atiku posters as emergency.
He refused to act on it. I now directed the state publicity Secretary to do it
No father will want his son to go away from him. I am the father of LP in Bauchi. I have given directives on the posters t Edeh to do to correct the narrfatives about the positers . What ever he is doing he is supposed eave it and come to the office immediately but he did not do that and we have a State Pubicitu Secretary that is available and that is why we used him for that purose . IF we had not resoned it would have created a lot of implication against us and we had tp act swirfly and Benjaim was never the State Pub;ict Secrtarfy and nobpd has taken his postiom
We want the geneal pubic to know that there is no problem in LP as far as we are concern. It is a mtter of misunderstanding roles. Benjamin Edeh id the State Publicity Secretary while Isaac Livi is the State Pubicit Secretary and you may wihs to see ythe kind of work he has done for us

Edeh you a big mistake for doing such kind of thing, before you make that press release you supposed to think otherwise.
